What is Jet Peel™?

Jet aviation engineering is being used by TavTech to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding aesthetic, skin care market. TavTech's patented technology creates a supersonic two-phase jet of micro-droplets consisting of saline solution and air that is accelerated to velocities that reach 200m/sec. This provides a versatile and precise means for performing a wide variety of skin treatments.

The pressure created by the high-velocity jet stretches the skin at the point of contact, causing “barophoresis” due to pressure variance; the skin in the high-pressure zone forms a concave surface and micro-canals in the outer layer of the skin broaden as the skin stretches and new canals are created. This process facilitates hydration, cleansing and purifying of the treated area, opens access to the skin's inner layers, allowing for deeper penetration and the introduction of vitamins, anti-aging and other solutions.

This technology therefore offers a powerful alternative to other, more abrasive, or invasive procedures with no pain or downtime.

What are the uses of the Jet peel™ system?

The Jet peel™ can be used on its own.

It has been reported by many satisfied clients as essential, in enhancing the effects of non-surgical revitalising solutions such as wrinkle relaxing injections, dermal fillers and also in combination with IPL, laser or LED systems.

How many Jet peel™ treatments are needed?

An initial consultation is recommended. We will then recommend the number of treatment sessions you require based on skin condition and desired results.

For example, for scarring or uneven pigmentation, as a rule, we recommend a minimum of 10 treatment sessions, usually performed every 10 to 30 days.

Following this, ‘touch up’ treatments are required less frequently, to maintain your resulting skin clarity and lustre.

What are the side effects after a Jet peel™ treatment?

Your skin may temporarily take on a pink hue or become slightly lighter in colour depending on your skin type. However, it is only temporary and lasts on average, between 15-30 minutes. You will be able to return to your normal activities almost immediately after.

Is the Jet peel™ a safe treatment procedure?

Chemical peels and Microdermabrasion mainly use acids, phenols, zinc oxide or aluminium oxide to strip skin layers.

Jet peel™ uses naturally occurring Water, Air & Vitamins at supersonic speed to gently remove dead layers of skin and unclog pores with minimal adverse effects.

All Jet peel™ treatments are safe for both clients and the administering staff member. It does not use any form of light enhancement.
