THE PROCESS GentleWaves treatments are quick and convenient.  We have placed this self-serve unit in our front, retail boutique so that it's easily accessible.  Because it is a self-serve format, the price is now incredibly affordable for everyone! Upon arriving, you may use our cleansers and warm towels to wash your skin.  You may then apply nutrient-rich floral water and eye goggles at your option. You will then hold the shield up to one side of your face and press the start button.  The lights will cascade for 45 seconds.  You will repeat this process on the other side of your face, followed by a cycle to cover your neck, then 2 more cycles for each half of your upper chest.  You may opt to cycle the lights over your hands as well.  After placing the shield back into the cradle, you may use any of the organic skin care products from our DNA line to treat and moisturize your skin... and please remember to use the SPF28 sunscreen.  The entire process takes but a few minutes. There is no pain, no need for anesthesia, no harm to your skin, no need to heal and therefore, no recovery time. THE SCIENCE LED photomodulation emulates photosynthesis in human skin cells, using the cell's own cytochromes to build new proteins just as plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into structural building blocks. GentleWaves uses low wattage light directed through the skin's epidermis aimed at fibroblast cells, which produce collagen and elastin. The light stimulates the cell's own energy transport system, producing more structural proteins. This causes an increase in volume of the epidermis and improves tone and elasticity. The low wattage produces cool temperatures, reducing the risk of burns or scars, potentially caused by laser treatments.
